As part of the recently-signed sponsorship deal between the Cameroon football federation and Guinness Cameroon SA, the latter has offered different set of kits to all 12 Guinness Super League championship Clubs during a specialized ceremony this Thursday in Yaoundé.
This comes under a month after the Cameroon football federation and its women’s league management team secured the deal for the championship.
Louves Minproff, Awa Filles, Canon Filles amongst others were present at the federation’s headquarters for the event.
Each of the Clubs received their different match kits plus other supplementary kits usable during journeys and pre-match activities.
The historic feat is a major step towards achieving growth of the women’s game in the country considered as second only to Nigeria on the continent.
As part of the package, Guiness Cameroon SA has taken an obligation to directly pay the Salaries of women’s footballers contracted by Clubs to participate in the competition henceforth.
The move is one of many innovative strategies that are currently been implemented to enhance the growth of women’s football in the country.
Three match-days into the 2020-2021 Cameroon Women’s Guinness Super League championship, there is a newfound interest in marketing and communication which goes a long way to encourage the Athletes.
The Mbombo Njoya-led FECAFOOT have manifested their desire to achieve unprecedented results in the women’s game since taking office less than two ago.
