Amozone FAP have seized a 2-1 victory against Canon Ladies, in match day 13 of the Guinness Super League on Monday June 4, at the Omnisport Annex One Stadium.
Bongben Buh Confidence scored a brace for FAP while, Rachelie Felicite Dongole scored Canon’s lone goal.
Highlights
The first goal chance of the game fell on Bongben Buh Confidence at the 7th minute, who beat goalkeeper Raissa Clarisse Merang in a scintillating shot for an opener, via an assist from Sandrine Kernyuy Lavngeh.
11 minutes afterwards came an equalizer from Canon’s defender Rachelie Felicite Dongole , thanks to an assist from Dorcas Kokate.
FAP mounted pressure on Canon through some beautiful one-to-one ball combinations from Linda Rostane Ngatchou and Claude Guirlaine Weladji at the 20th and 40th minutes respectively. But Canon’s experienced defenders Judith Messina and Ritar Wirnkar Shohnuy were always present to stop the final actions.
Bongben Buh Confidence hit a brace at the 45th minutes, after receiving a nice assist from Linda Rostane Ngatchou to raise the score to 2-1.
Coach Emmanuel Eteme Biolo of Canon substituted Dorcas Kokate and Diane Nkade for Bintou Nsangou and Soline Diane Djoubi. A tactical decision that lead to the creation of a litany of unproductive goal scoring attempts.
Few minutes to the end of the game, came an impressive shot from Bongben Confidence to increase the score, but her ball narrowly moved nearby goalkeeper Clarisse Merang of Canon’s goal.
Coach Ndoumou Mike Josephine and girls have maintained their second spot on the 12 team’s league with 32 points,a point away from leaders AS AWA.
