Zambia Premier League side Green Eagles have this afternoon started on a high by beating Heegan Football Club of Somalia at the on-going CECAFA Kagame tournament in Rwanda Kigali.
Green Eagles goals came from Kennedy Musonda aswel and Spencer Sautu in the 27th and 52nd minutes respectively.
The Zambian side is participating at the Tournament for the first time in their history.
Green Eagles are in group C along side APR of Rwanda, Proline Football Club of Uganda and Heegan of Somalia, the next game for Eagles will see them play APR of Rwanda on Monday, 15:30hrs at Kigali Stadium.
Winners of this year’s CECAFA tournament will pocket $30, 000, Runners up $20, 000 and third $10, 000.
Rwanda now has a huge success stories in hosting these events.
