Cameroonian striker Georges Mfegue and mates fell short in their latest outing in the Ghana Premier League, scoring twice but fell short against King Faisal this Sunday 5th . The highly-watched encounter that saw Faisal pick a narrow 3 to2 win.
King Faisal who had recorded three successful wins, were hoping to end that run. As Zubairu Ibrahim opened tally for his side at the 4th minutes of play via a swift and surprising counter attack.
In abide to change the morphology of the game, Mfegue and mates stepped up and orchestrated a series of hostile attacks. But, the Faisal defenders remain focus in giving a prompt defensive backup.
In the 40th minute, the Asante boys were handed a way back into the game after referee Julian Nunoo awarded them a penalty. An experience that was short lived upon consultation with his assistant, that saw him overturned his decision.
Then came at the second half of the game, from Asante striker, Cameroonian born Mfegue George a close shot giving his side a goal .
The unstoppable Faisal striker, Zubairu Ibrahim then signed a second netting from a hat-trick one, to raised Faisal to 2 goal at the 68 minutes.
Asante Kotoko didn’t give up and grabbed another goal through George Mfegue that failed to bring both sides on a parity score. Tables turn, as King Faisal in the remaining minutes of the did enough to win by 3 to 2.
