Since the suspension of the league in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, there have been debate on if football should continue or not even after lockdown was eased last month.
For some, the inciting sports should not be done away with rather measures should be put in place to ensure the prevention of the virus when matches are on.
On the other divide, it is a no no as the risk involved is something that cannot be toiled with.
Some hold the opinion that whatever measures put in will make football lose it glitz and glamour? Hence, resumption shouldn’t be considered.
Against all odds, the German Bundeliga returned on Saturday after two months and coach Godwin Attram, feels the pace has been set and Ghana must follow suit while speaking with Joy Sports.
”I’m happy today that the real gent in the world have started playing football. That’s Germany. So, if Germany is playing football today, then I believe football must come back.”
The Black Stars B assistant coach was of the opinion that all that was needed was for measures to be in place and the government approval.
”No matter what it is, I think the FA must put some measures on ground to the government because the government will decide what to do or not.”
On fans not being in the stadium, Attram asserted that it should not stop the game and if clubs feel this will affect them financially then the FA should support the clubs so the games can be played behind closed doors.
