Gor Mahia FC have won the Kenyan Premier league (KPL) title for a record stretching 18th time after playing a one all tie with Vihiga United at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
The one all tie made it mathematically impossible for title Challenger Bandari FC who were held to a one all tie by Mathare United.

The one point picked up by Gor Mahia FC meant that they are 8 points ahead of ahead of Bandari FC, confirming them as champions for the third straight year with two rounds before the season ends.

The champions will lift the trophy at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday when they play Posta Rangers in the penultimate round of the KPL season.

The Kenyan Premier league is also known as the Sports Pesa Premier League.
