Former Super Falcons midfielder cum striker Gift Ele Otuwe was on target for her Belarus Vysshaya Liga Women side, Neman in their 6-1 thrashing of ABFF U19 on Sunday, www.kick442.com can report.
Otuwe, 36, scored Neman’s first goal of the game in the 10th minute at the Krytyj Futbol’nyy Manezh, Hrodna Grodno.
Elizaveta Sergeychik doubled Neman’s lead in the 23rd minute before Juliette Nana increased their lead to three in the 28th minute.
A goal from Moussa Zouwairatou, Ekaterina Dudko’s penalty, and another goal from Juliette Nana ensured that Viktoria Valyuk’s 69th-minute strike for ABFF U19 was a mere consolation.
Neman currently occupied the third position on the Belarusian
Vysshaya Liga table with 31 points from 17 games, 12 points behind Minsk in second position, and 20 points behind league leaders, Dinamo-BGU. Gift Otuwe’s side will visit Dnepr Mogilev in their next fixture on October 3.
Gift Ele Otuwe has scored three goals in the league for Neman this season and one goal in the Cup competition.
The former Bayelsa Queens, FC Minsk, and 1207 Antalya Spor player have featured for the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
