The Chairman of the parliamentary select committee on sports and culture, Hon. Alex Kofi Agyekum has lost his bid to become the member of parliament for Mpohor Constituency for the third consecutive time.
The newly elected parliamentary candidate, Mr. John Sanie defeated the Incumbent with a whopping 91 votes difference in the just ended primaries help by the ruling New Patriotic Party on Saturday, 20th June, 2020.
Alex Agyekum had 101 whereas John Sanie had 192 of the votes count.
This means that, Mr. Alex Agyekum will not be in Parliament next year and only future knows if his chairmanship position will be maintained.
