The head Coach of the Women’s Premier League side, Sea Lions has lambasted the management of the club after their 1:0 defeat to Immigration Ladies at the Ndoum Stadium on Saturday February, 27.
The game which was keenly contested between the two was won by the away team to boast their position on the log.
In a one- on – one interview with the rep of Darling FM and kick442.com after the game, the head coach Maapa Nkoom said the management are the cause of the team’s poor performance in the league.
“I know our performance has not been good. I will not blame the players but the management.’
“The management has been poor.
They don’t think about the girls. They don’t visit them, no motivation, nothing. In fact the girls are suffering. Some even find it difficult to get money for food.”
“These are bare facts and when they invite me I will go and defend it.”
“I have given them the list of players that can help me in the second round but up till date, I have not heard anything from them.”
“I know the team will not be relegated but until the management changes their attitude, the team will remain the same.” He said
Sea Lions are currently sitting at the bottom of the league log with just a point after 6 games in the Southern Zone.
