The Chief Executive Officer of Okyeman Planners FC Mr. George Afriyie has revealed that he is not ready for the Kumasi Asante Kotoko vacant Chief Executive Officer position.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Chief Executive Officer’s position became vacant a few weeks ago after a new board which was formed by the Royal Majesty of the Ashanti Kingdom Otumfuo Osei Tutu II dissolved the existing management committee which was headed by Mr. George Amoakoh.
There were media reports that former Ghana football association executive committee member, Mr. George Afriyie would be taking over.
Mr. George Afriyie who was the vice president of the Ghana football association under the Kwesi Nyantakyi’s administration contested Mr. Kurt Okraku for the presidential position.
A statement issued by former GFA presidential aspirant Mr. George Afriyie indicated that he is not ready for the vacant position.
According to him, though he has been contacted by many of the club’s faithful, his current engagements will not permit him to take such an appointment.
