New-recruited Cameroonian forward Ignatius Ganago was on target for his French Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens this Saturday in a pre-season friendly against Belgian outfit Genk.
The 21-year-old Cameroon international only left the Alliance Rivera for RC Lens last month and is gradually settling into life at his new home in Northern France.
Nigerian forward Dessers Cyriel put Genk in front on the stroke of half time converting a penalty.
The score stayed at one-nil for the Belgians till the half time break.
15 minutes upon resumption, 21-year-old Ignatius Ganago burried the ball into the back of the Genk net to make it 1-1.
Both sides exchanged barren punches in the last half hour and couldn’t provide more goals for their fans mostly following away from the Stadium.
At full time it was a satisfactory result for both sides.
A debut goal is the ideal way to start for the Brasserie Football Academy graduate who joined the Club on a four-year-deal this summer.
Potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Boris Enow Takang is also on the books of the French Club.
