Cameroon international forward Ignatius Ganago has returned for the first time in three months and and scored for RC Lens in their 2-1 win at home to Nimes.
He helped 1998 French Champions Lens, to pick up three points following a 2-1 away win against Nimes in match-day 34 of the French Ligue 1 championship.
Ganago started for the first time since December and made an almost instant impact.
The striker scored in the 17th minute as Lens looked to extend their great run.
Issiaga Sylla was sent off in the 24th minute leaving RC Lens with just 10 players for the rest of the game.
The host kept their lead till the end of the first segment.
Zinedine Ferhat leveled scores in the 53rd minute before Massadio Haïdara scored the winner in the 76th minute leaving the full-time.
The 21-year-old forward who joined Lens last summer from OGC Nice.
It was his sixth goal plus two assist in 11 league games this season in the championship.
The game stayed on the 2-1 score till the full-time break but Ganago joined the boys of coach Franck Haise in the 72nd minute and scored six minutes later.
The Brasserie Football Academy youth product has already better his personal best in a French League last season and keeps improving on that.
His most prolific season, before this, in the French top flight was the 2019-2020 season in which he scored three goals in 26 league games.
Lens are temporarily fifth on the log with 56 points ahead of their next game at home to PSG of Alexandre Franssange.
