French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes have completed the signing of 23-year old Cameroonian forward Ignatius Kpene Ganago from RC Lens.
The 2022 French cup winners finalized the deal for the Cameroon international this Thursdays, adding him to international colleague Jean Charles Castelletto who is in his third season at the club.
Ganago scored 13 goals in 57 games in all competitions in two seasons at Lens will continue his career at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
In all, Ganago improved from the seven goals scored in 62 games at OGC Nice before departing in 2020.
Ganago, a product of the Brasserie Football Academy joined Lens in 2020 on a four-year deal worth €6 Million but has for less than that.
Nantes now have a younger striker for the rest of the season who is more promising.
Ganago is no stranger to the Ligue 1 or French Football as he has already made 108 appearances in the French top-flight championship.
The Cameroon international with nine caps to his name was a part of the team that won bronze at the 2021 AFCON tournament.
He could make his debut against his favourite opponents PSG this Saturday in matchday five of the French Ligue 1.
