As part of their rebuilding process, Unisport of Bafang have completed the signing of experienced Cameroonian midfielder Gael Givet Noukeu on a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old former captain of TKC joins as a free agent for an undisclosed salary and engagement fee.
Noukeu, previously of YOSA and FAP switched to Unisport after being convinced by president Donald Ngameni who aims to achieve a return to the top-flight for the Bafang outfit as soon as possible.
Named best Elite 2 midfielder in the 2016/17 due to his exploits at TKC and winner of the Elite One championship a year later with Cotonsport a year later, Gael brings both quality and success experience to the ranks of coach Charlemagne Mbongo’s team going into the 2022/23 season.
The 1m69 midfielder, Noukeu also played for AS FAP of Yaounde (force Armée et policé), and was part of the squad that lost the 2019 Cameroon cup final to Stade Renard of Melong.
Haven Started his football career with Vogt Athletic club in Yaounde, Gael Noukeu as he is commonly known, has grown into a midfield dynamo, with a good technical skill, good reading of the game and a dangerous left foot, that is capable of splitting up defense and setting up attackers.
He is one of nine new recruits announced by Unisport in the build up to the new season.
The likes of Paul Bara,Banga Frederic, Willy Lopez Ebendeng, Cedric Bahoken, Mohammed Evrard Touaga and Loudy Wanko have all signed for the club.
Unisport are one of 20 clubs to compete in the second tier championship next season, having narrowly missed the promotion playoff last time out.
