Cotonsport’s coach Gabriel Haman has played down talks of his side being favourites going into Sunday’s league final against Eding Sport.
Both sides that were lodged in Pool B of the championship, will be meeting for the third time this season, with the league title at stake.
Cotonsport under Haman, has lost just one league this season (out of 18 games) and are just 90 minutes away from the clubs 17th league title. Despite the Cotonites playing at home in Garoua, coach Haman insist they’re going to play a very good Eding Sport side.
“Saying that is going to be easy, I don’t think so. We’re going to play against the best team of pool during the group stage. So it’s going to be a difficult game.
“We have already played them two times this season, they won us in the away game and we won the return game, so it is going to be a highly contested game, against a very good Eding side,” added Haman.
Cotonsport and Eding have met 10 times since 2016, with both sides moving away with three wins each and four other games ending in a draw.
