CAF has decorated it’s best performers for 2018 in a gala that took place on Tuesday Evening in Dakar-Senegal.
It was eventful day for the body.The day started with a rescheduled executive committee meeting with principal objective being to determine the host of the 2019 AFCON.Egypt was the biggest winner of the day. They picked up 16 of the votes for the host of the 2019 AFCON against 1 for South Africa and later in the day they picked up the player of the year award which was won by their own, Mohamed Salah.
Therefore,Salah will go into the 2019 AFCON on home soil in June as the reigning African Footballer of the year while Chrestina Thembi Kgatlana picked the women’s player of the year award and will head to France with South Africa knowing she is the best in the continent of Assisat Lamina Oshoala and Nchout Njoya Ajara.
