The Royal Moroccan Football Federation, FRMF has agreed a 50% pay cut with the Bosnian head coach of the Atlas Lions of Morocco, Vahid Halilhodžić.
The Executive committee of the football house met on Thursday via videoconference and took a good number of strategic decisions amongst which is a reduction of salaries for their national team gaffer.
Vahid and the director of football at the national technical director of football, Osian Roberts have agreed a 50% wage cut while other staffs of the national technical directorate get a between 20-50% wage cut.
The Royal Morocco Football Federation appointed Vahid Halilhodžić as replacement for Hervé Renard in August last year.
They have been media reports that the former Algeria and Ivory Coast coach is the highest paid national team coach on the continent.
Halilhodzic worked been manager of multiple clubs including Paris Saint Germain, Nantes and Morocco’s Raja Casablanca.
The FRMF equally decided in the same meeting to make regular payments to match officials.
