Foncha Street FC of Bamenda will represent the Northwest Region at the 2019 National playoffs for promotion to the second tier Championship this season.
This comes after Sunday’s 2 nil win over last year’s champions Rainbow FC.
Goals Jean Claude Laimo and Brillant Tanwie may have caused the loudest shouts at the Unity Stadium of the University of Bamenda but Frankline Shalanyuy’s in the final plus his efforts over the course of the season has been very important.
The goalkeeper made 3 decisive saves in the final to keep his exceptional record of clean sheets this season.
Shalanyuy kept 11 clean sheets in 13 games and conceded just 2 goals in the league this season.
If 5 years old Foncha Street FC is the champion of the Northwest Region this season it is massively thanks to the effort of Frankline Shalanyuy.
Foncha Street FC will therefore face the representative of the Center Region, Etoile Filante of Garoua in a very competitive Pool C when the National Interpool kicks off.
