Noted for his ever present and goal scoring dexterity at the attack line, 25-year old Ivorian professional midfielder Franck Yannick Kessie is on the radar of Spanish giants Barcelona.
As reported by several Spanish and Italian media with Dailymail leading, Franck Yannick Kessie who has been resisting a contract extension with Italian side AC Milan, could probably switch to Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of the football season 2021-2022. It is understood that a contract offer has been tabled.
With interest from English giants Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United who may let go Paul Pogba, Xavier Hernández Creus’ Barca leads the race for the 25-year-old’s signature during the summer transfer window as a free agent, almost a usual phenomena for Barca after contracting Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia and Dani Alves all as free agents.
Franck Kessie’s adroitness and goalscoring ability since joining AC Milan from Atalanta has made him a dependable scorer attracting interest and topping headlines around the world. Should the deal comes to pass, Kessie will be joining Gabonese forward Pierre Aubameyang.
Haven scored five goals this season for AC Milan in Serie A, Franck Kessie makes a good option for Barca, as Sergio Busquet is aging and can’t measure up to Kessie’s delivering capacity.
From the look of things, one is tempted to say Barca is the club Kessie targets as he resists offer of contract extension with the Rossonneri.
Franck Yannick Kessie began his football career 2014 at home with Stella Adjame making 10 and three goals before moving to Atalanta Bergamo for 2015 – 2019 football season scoring seven in 31 caps. Kessie later join Serie A side AC Milan in 2019 where he has scored 24 gaols in 114 appearances.
Born in Ouaragahio in Ivory Coast, Kessie debuted for the National team in 2014 and has sealed a spot in the squad 52 capped and five goals. He made his presence felt in the National Olympic Team in 2021 four caps and a goal.
