Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder, Frank Boya, has had his first training session at his new Club, Royal Antwerp, on Monday, June 29, 2020.
The former APEJES of Mfou skipper joined Dieumerci Mbokani, and the rest of the Antwerp squad preparing for the new season and the Belgian at the Club’s base at Anvers.
It was the first training session for the 2017 AFCON winner, Boya, barely days after he signed for the Club from rivals Royal Mouscron.
The player joined the Club as a free agent on a two-year-deal plus an option for another two years.
Boya joined Royal Mouscron in August 2017, from German second tier side 1860 München on a three-year-deal, which ran out this summer.
The 2017 AFCON winner was a regular starter Mouscron in his last two seasons at Mouscron. He made 30 appearances in his last season at the Vlibuv, from which he scored twice.
He was included in the Jupiler Pro team of the week on two occasions in the just-ended season.
The 2016 winner of the Cup of Cameroon with APEJES of Mfou made a total of 67 appearances for Royal Mouscron, from which he has scored five goals and assisted six.
The move to Antwerp is considered as a more ambitious Club with a possibility of being involved in European football next season.
Boya has won two caps for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Many are those who consider him one of the most efficient Cameroonians in his role currently in Europe.
