Italian Serie A giants AC Milan have offered to hand Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie to Arsenal, in exchange for Arsenal’s Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira.
Arsenal’s Manager Mikel Arteta has been looking to add steel in his midfield, with Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey heavily linked with a move to the Emirates. Another hugely physical midfielder to be linked with the Gunners lately is 23-year-old AC Milan and Ivorian international Franck Kessie.
The Rossoneri are willing to offer Arsenal a chance to sign the Ivorian, according to reports from Milan News 24.
Milan value Kessie at €30 million and the Gunners are reported to have made contact with the Italian outfit over the possibility of bringing the former Stella Club of Adjamé midfielder to north London.
Milan are willing to let Kessie join Arsenal on the condition that they get Lucas Torreira in return.
Torreira has been on the fringes of the Arsenal team since Arteta’s appointment as Manager and reports suggest that Arsenal could let the Uruguayan leave for €40million.
Also, the former Sampdoria midfielder is reported to be nostalgic of his time in Italy and will like a return to the Serie A.
Franck Kessie has made 25 appearances for AC Milan this season across all competitions, but the Ivorian international has been accused of making basic and costly mistakes which explains why Milan’s owners are not keen on keeping him at the San Siro.
