AS Fortuna

Three years upon their promotion into the topflight championship in Cameroon, AS Fortuna have appeared different from the surprise creators they were once.
In their first two campaigns, they defeated the likes of Cotonsport and UMS away from home.

Despite having a collection of very good players on their books this term, AS Fortuna are really lacking in form and fortune.

The 19-year old club from Mfou have recorded just one win in match-day Four of ongoing championship against Stade Renard of Melong.

Since then, the club has gone on a run of Seven games without a win. That run of results with just 4 points from a possible 21 has put the boys of coach Simplice Njiki at the bottom of the log with just 8 points.

Colombe on their part can boast of an impressive run of just 2 defeat in that time and are currently ranked 14th, 4 places and 6 points better than AS Fortuna.

Both sides lost in their midweek fixtures, that makes this game an opportunity to go for maximum points.

A defeat for AS Fortuna this Sunday will open a wider gap between them and the rest of the 17 clubs in the league.

For Coach Gabriel Zabot and his boys they may not be any room for sentiments. This game gives them a chance to compound Fortuna`s problems.

Both sides have previously met twice in this division and share a win apiece from those confrontations.
