AS Fortuna of Mfou have become the first Club to lose their lead trainer in the ongoing Cameroon Elite One championship.
The Club’s trainer in the opening two games of the season Guy Bertin Djiepnang has stepped down from his position as lead trainer with immediate effect.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the gaffer who masterminded AS Fortuna’s comeback draw against PWD of Bamenda at the Yong Sports Academy center this Sunday had disagreements with the Club’s president Roger Noah.
Contacted by the kick442.com team, coach Guy confirmed his relationship with the Club is over pending administrative protocols.
The former UMS of Loum and YAFOOT FC trainer completely improved AS Fortuna after arriving the Club in the last stretch of the 2019-2020 season, helping them escape the relegation zone with six wins on the spin.
It is unclear if the Club’s administration will oppose his decision but with undiluted certainty coach ‘Tao’ as he is popularly known is no longer interested in training AS Fortuna.
