Colombe of Dja have suffered their second defeat in a row forcing them out of the top of the league table.
Goals in either half from Alex Nandje, Terence Ngankam and Victor Mengue was all the host needed to back home all three points from a three nil win against a Colombe side that had everything wrong on the day.
The game looked like an equal game until the 42nd of the first segment when Alex Nandje put the host ahead and set them on their way to victory.
The second segment of the game had greater intensity with Fovu winning most of the duels while restricting Colombe to breaks on the counter.
Francis Elimbi tested the goalkeeping poweress of Armand Engoue Raoul on two occasions within the first 20 minutes of the second half but the goalkeeper stood tall in both occasions.
Fovu benefitted from a well worked action in the 73rd minutes of the game through Terence Ngankam.
It could have been three for Fovu after assistant referee Ekokobe Ernest flagged for a penalty. Unfortunately substitute William Mukwelle stepped up and hit the upright with the ball.
Elimbi came close again in the 80th but his short was saved by Armand Raoul.
Fovu then added the third in the 93rd minutes of play through Victor Mengue and defended well till full time.
The win meant Fovu are unbeaten in their last nine home games while Colombe succumb to their defeat in a row and drops to the second spot.
Title rivals Cotonsport won by one goal to nil while PWD sacrificed a three nil lead to draw three-all against visiting Eding Sport de la Lekie.
The latest results puts Cotonsport on top of the league table with 42 points.
