Former Ivory Coast gaffer, François Zahoui has been appointed head coach of Guinea’s top tier club, AS Kaloum.
The 58-year-old tactician who previously coached the club in 2015 makes his return to the Conakry based club after five years.
He is expected to arrive the country when the borders are reopened.
François Zahoui joins former AS Vita Club striker, Ahmed Toure to arrive at the club this season. The 32-year-old striker has amassed experience on the continent and should be a key figure for the club this year. He made remarkable strides with ASEC Mimosas in the champions League.
AS Kaloum is the fourth most decorated club in Guinea after Horoya AC,Hafia FC and Wakriya but they have struggled to impress at the continental stage.
They’ve won 13 domestic league titles including seven cup trophies.
François Zahoui inspired Ivory Coast to a second place finish at the 2012 AFCON. The former Ivorian footballer has also managed Niger and the Central African Republic.
