A release from Ghana Premier League side,_Wa All Stars FC” has confirmed the transfer of ownership of the 2016 champions of Ghana from banned former president Kwesi Nyantakyi to former Fulham defender John Paintsil.
This comes to confirm reports of a take-over of the club that had been on the local media for over a month now.
John Paintsil a former Ghana international will henceforth pilot the affairs of the club without former Ghana Football Association president Nyantakyi who was handed a life ban from Football last year after the release of the Anas Aremayao Anas Number 12 Tiger Eye video which showed the Nyantakyi involved in unacceptable practices in the game.
The 12 year old club will now be under the guidance of Paintsil when the GFA normalisation committee special tournament begins in Ghana.
Mr Nyantakyi pump in huge resources to push the club to their lone title win in 2016,fans of the club believe the sale of the club to Paintsil who now resides in Ghana after his retirement from professional Football may be a new beginning to this club that remains the darling club to the people of Wa especially given that one of their own is now the owner of The Blues as the club is popularly called.
