27 year old Captain of Cotonsport of Garoua captain 5 years ago,Djene Ortega has been named in the La Liga best XI of the first half of the season released this week.

Playing in the La Liga,5 years after he was playing in ugly pitches like the CENAJES stadium in Dschang and the municipal Stadium in Loum is already a great success talkless of being included amongst the best with names like Andres Lionel Messi with 5 Balon D’or,world cup winners;Antoine Griezman,Gerard Pique and Jesus Navas.

The Liga team best XI for the first round of the Spanish top flight championship leaves the Togolese international as the only African in a team of 8 Europeans and 2 South Americans.
