City Football Club Dubai (UAE) player Majeobaje Mayowa in an interview with www.kick442.com shares some of his experiences while playing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The former Bethel Football Academy of Lagos captain joined the Dubai outfit in the mid-season with 14 games left.
According to him he played the first 10 matches after he was signed but could not play the last 4 games of the season due to injuries.
When asked about the differences between football in Nigeria and Dubai, the lanky central defender has this to say, “to be sincere, football is one language all over the world.” but there are lots of differences in terms of player’s welfare, team management and organization structures of the league, we have lots of talents in Nigeria if all this can be put in place, our league in Nigeria would be better.
“My teammates made life easier for me at City Football Club and thanks to the interpreters, it was not difficult for me to adapt at the club.”
The former Joy Cometh FC of Lagos player spoke about his best game of the season. “To be sincere it’s difficult for me to pick my best game because I always give my best in all my games, but the game against AL Rams was special, it was a win for us and I provided the assist for the first goal we scored.
“After the game, my coach called me and congratulated me, especially for my performance”
City Football club Dubai currently plays in the first division.
