Cameroon league two side, Foncha Street FC of Bamenda has suspended collective training sessions within the team until further notice. The Bamenda based club is currently in the relegation zone in Cameroon second tier championship with just three playing days to the end of the championship.
The Cameroon Football Federation had earlier announced that it is suspending all its competitions, meaning that the Cameroon second tier championship and other competitions are on a temporal stop.
The president of Foncha Street FC this Thursday morning sent out a note which states that “The management of Foncha Street Football Club has decided to suspend all collective training sessions of the team untill further notice. This decision falls in line with a series of measures taken by the government, FECAFOOT, FIFA and CAF in order to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the world”
He also used the message to call on all players and fans of the club to stay safe and follow the prevention measures prescribed by the World Health Organization and the government of Cameroon.
Coach Armand Bomono will definitely expect his players to carry out individual sessions, so as to maintain their current form as they continue the fight against relegation.
Foncha Street FC now joins the likes of Dragon of Yaounde, PWD of Bamenda to officially announced that they are suspending training sessions.
