Cameroon Elite Two outfit Foncha Street FC of Bamenda are courting experienced Cameroonian trainer Simplice Njiki.
Kick442.com has gathered that the Bamenda-based outfit are in the market for a new trainer and the former Fauve Azur Elite Elite and Aigle Royal of Menoua coach trainer is a priority.
Coach Armand Bomono guided the Club in the second segment of last season but it took the outbreak of the Corona Virus pandemic.
Foncha Street FC of Bamenda narrowly escaped relegation in the 2019_2020 football season, maintaining their status in the Cameroon league two championship.
From a fairy tale ride in the North West regional league and a scintillating run in the 2019 national interpools in Bertoua, Foncha Street FC booked a place in the elite two championship, but failed to live up to expectations.
It was a topsy-turvy first season in the elite for the Northwest outfit, as they ended the season on the last but one in the 14 team championship.
With the 2020-2021 Cameroon league season tipped to resume in October, there is a possibility of Foncha Street FC hiring a new coach in Simplice Njiki, should negotiations be fruitful.
Bringing in a man with his experience in the Cameroon Elite championship could be a first step in the right direction for Foncha Street FC, who are setting their eyes on grabbing one of the tickets for the elite one Championship.
The 43-year-old former National Polytechnic of Bamenda coach is a client of Africa Sports management and no stranger to such jobs.
