2019 Aiteo Cup Champions, Nasarawa Amazons confirmed their champions status by qualifying for the Semi-Final of the 2020 Flying Officers Cup after a 2-0 win over Honey Badgers on Wednesday, www.kick442.com reports.

After an embarrassing 7-0 loss to Bayelsa Queens, Honey Badgers put up a wonderful defensive display by holding the Aiteo Cup Champions for more than 60 minutes.

The deadlock was eventually broken in the 67th minute when Dooshima Tarnum slips through to beat Dzer Comfort in goal for Honey Badgers.

Honey Badgers made attempts to get an equaliser before Chimemebere Opara scored a late goal to make it 2-0 for Nasarawa Amazons in the 92nd minute.

Nasarawa Amazons thus qualified for the semi final of the competition with six points from two group games. They will play Bayelsa Queens in their final group game.

Honey Badgers with two defeats crashed out of the tournament.
