Edo Queens secured their first win at the ongoing Flying Officers Cup with a 3-0 victory over Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Championship side, Kaduna Queens on Wednesday, www.kick442.com reports.
Glory Osaghae scored the first goal of the game for the Rollanson Odeh tutored side in the 16th minute.
Nine minutes later, Elizabeth Zirike made it 2-0 for Edo Queens before experienced midfielder, Osas Igbinovia’s goal from close range in the 51st minute gave them a comfortable win over the weeping girls of the group.
Edo Queens have four points from their first two group games after playing out a 1-1 draw with Royal Queens.
They will play Bankole Olowookere’s Naija Ratels in their final group game with semi-final place in sight and the quest of denting Naija Ratels FC’s perfect start to the tournament.
