Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership side, Edo Queens finished at the top of Group A after inflicting Naija Ratels with their first defeat at the ongoing Flying Officers Cup, www.kick442.com reports.

Edo Queens emerged as the winner of the top of the table clash with a slim 1-0 win over Naija Ratels FC. After a goalless first half, Edo Queens scored their solitary goal in the 68th minute as Naija Ratels conceded their first goal of the competition. Alani Jumoke’s effort went past Omilana Faith for the winning goal.
Royal Queens 4-0 Kaduna Queens
Royal Queens crashed out of the 2020 Flying Officers Cup despite their 4-0 win over Kaduna Queens. Rosemary Adesina scored an early goal with an assist from Mercy Abel. Kaduna Queens conceded three goals in the first six minutes of the encounter with Chika Idika bagging an early brace. In the 83rd minute, Chioma Olise’s corner kick dropped down into the net with no help from anyone for Royal Queen’s fourth goal of the game. The victory could not save the Warri-based side from early elimination.
Edo Queens finished top of Group A with seven points, followed by Naija Ratels FC with six points.
