2017-2018 Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL Champions, Bayelsa Queens fired warning signal to other Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL clubs ahead of the upcoming season with a resounding 7-0 win over Honey Badgers at the 2020 Flying Officers Cup, www.kick442.com reports.
Former Sunshine Queens player, Vincent Precious opened the goals tap for Bayelsa Queens in the sixth minute off a goalmouth scramble.
New acquisition, Zainab Olapade scored her first goal for Bayelsa Queens to make it 2-0 in the 33rd minute.
Last season’s NWFL Premiership highest goal scorer, Anjor Mary makes it 3-0. She got a short pass from Joy Jerry before finding the back of the net in the 35th minute.
In the second half, Vincent Precious scored her second goal from a long-range effort to make it 4-0 for Bayelsa Queens in the 51st minute.
Joy Jerry scored the fifth goal for the Yenegoa based side in the 66th minute after making two assists in the course of the game.
Two more goals from Juliet Sunday (76th minute) and Anjor Mary (81st minute) completed a 7-0 victory for the Moses Aduku tutored side.
Earlier on, Royal Queens FC forced Edo Queens to a 1-1 draw in the South-South Derby.
