Algerian forward Baghdad has announced he will forfeit half of his salary for the month of April to his club’s funds for the fight against the spread of the deadly CoronaVirus.

The ex Etoile de Sahel forward took to Instagram voice his intentions barely days after his international colleague Yacine Brahimi of Al-Rayyan SC equally announced he was forfeiting his salary for the same reason.

The 28-year-old Algerian international on the books of Qatari side Al Sadd SC joins the rest of his club colleagues who have made a similar move.

Bounedjah has had a great 2019-2020 season 17 goals to his name this campaign. His goals have helped his club to the third spot on the log in the Qatar Stars league.

The ex RCG Oran forward has won hundreds of fans since his move from Etoile to Al Sadd in 2015.

The Oran native has scored 93 goals in 75 appearances for the club. His performances plus the recent move only enhance the growth of his popularity in Qatar and back home.

The big forward scored Algeria’s winner in the 2019 AFCON final against Senegal.

The ex USM El Harrach striker has scored 16 goals in 35 caps for the Algeria senior national team.
