AS Saint-Etienne’s Algerian offensive midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has made a donation to help in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The 30-year-old made the donation to l’Hopital Pasteur de Colmar, in his town of birth.
The information about the playmakers gesture was made public by his brother Mehdi and reported by L’Alsace.
“As training sessions with his club AS Saint-Etienne have been suspended till further notice, Ryad called us a few days before the confinement,” his brother said.
“Being a native of Colmar, and noticing that the inhabitants of his region of birth were particularly affected by the Coronavirus, he thought it was necessary to help l’Hopital Pasteur as much as he could.”
The amount of money on the Cheque the former Sochaux playmaker offered to the hospital has not been made public.
The Haut-Rhin has been heavily affected since the outbreak of the Coronavirus. According to reports from the government, this is the most touched region in France as per March 30th statistics, with 380 deaths.
