Super Falcons eighteen (18) year old goal keeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie made the cut for FIFA Women’s World Cup Team of the Week after helping the Super Falcons qualify for the Round of 16 of the World Cup for the first time since 1999.
This recognition is connected to the young goal keepers recent form that saw her keep a clean sheet against South Korea in Nigeria’s 2-0 win to make her emerge as the youngest goal keeper to keep a clean sheet at the World Cup.
Chiamaka Nnadozie also controlled Super Falcons defence against France that saw the Falcons only conceding a solitary goal from a controversial penalty spot. Given the fact that Nigeria conceded three (3) goals in their first game against Norway with Tochukwu Oluehi being benched for South Korea game Haven conceded three against Norway. Chiamaka Nnadozie has not concede any goal from open play since she made her World Cup debut in Super Falcons second game against South Korea
Nigeria will next play Germany on Saturday in the Round of 16 of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
