51-year old former Indomitable lions forward Patrick Mboma Ndem, under the invitation of the President of the Cameroon Football Federation Samuel Eto’o, joined the lions delegation that left Douala on Sunday for Algeria ahead of their return-leg game against the Desert Foxes of Algeria on Tuesday March 29th, at the Blida Stadium.
The former goal scorer for the Cameroon national team and holder of an UEFA Diploma in football management, has as objective to motivate and boost the morals of captain Vincent Aboubakar and mates, as well as share his huge football skills with the lions’ technical staff in their quest for a victory.
The Indomitable lions landed on the Algerian soil this Monday morning via a chartered flight and were warmly received by Samuel Eto’o and some officials of the Algerian Football Federation. They are expected to hold their first training session at the Blida Stadium this Monday.
Cameroon holds high chances of missing the World Cup after the one nil defeat against the Desert Foxes of Algeria in Douala on March 25 at the 50,000 thousand Japoma seating capacity stadium. Thanks to the prowess of ISlam Slimani’s forty minutes header with a chance of making Qatar 2022 a dream come true.
However, Coach Rigobert Song and boys are expected to score two goals in Algeria, without conceding so as to hold the ambition of part taking in the global Qatar soccer mass.
