Though Cameroon failed to qualify for the upcoming Under 20 World cup in Poland,World Foootball governing body FIFA has picked Cameroonian assistant referee,Noupoue Elvis as one of six African Assistant Referees to in the Tournament’s village to take charge of matches.
Noupoue is one of the finest assistant referees in Cameroon and have had multiple top task from FIFA and CAF over the years. He was one of the Cameroonian Referees in the 2017 AFCON and was the only Cameroon Referee in the 2018 CHAN competition in Morocco.In the days ahead, Referee Elvis will be in Bilda in the days ahead as part of a team of match official with 4 Cameroonian referees to handle the round 6 AFCON Qualifier game pitting Algeria to Gambia.
African has a total of 12 referees selected for the with 6 as assistant referees,3 Referees and 3 Video Assistant Referees.
The Tournament itself will begin on the 23rd of May and run till June 15 in Poland.
