FIFA U-17 WWC: Asia, Oceania fills up qualification spots

Qualification spots for India 2021 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Asia and Oceania has been completed, can report.

According to the latest updates on qualification for the tournament, three countries including the host, India will represent Asia, while Oceania has one qualification slot.

Host, India, Korea DPR, and Japan will represent Asia at the tournament, while Australia will be the sole representative of Oceania.

The competition which was initially slated to hold between November 2 and 21 November 2020, will now take place from 17 February – 7 March 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

West African rivals, Nigeria and Ghana will fight it out for one of three Africa’s qualification slots later this year.

Spain are the defending champions of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, having won their first title in 2018.
