Africa’s U-17 reigning champions Cameroon will face Legiao FC in a friendly encounter after a similar game with World cup bound Haiti programmed on Sunday was cancelled.

Haiti was unable to arrive Brasilia ahead of the pretournament friendly as both teams continue to gear up for the World Cup this month.

Cameroon and Haiti will make their second appearances at the World Cup for the first time since 2013 and 2007 respectively where both nations failed to go past the group stages.

The 2019 U-17 African champions beat Brazilian selection, Brasilia 3-1 on Wednesday evening as Etienne Eto’o and Fotso Barel both scored on their debut for the U-17 lions. Steve Mvoue was also on target.

They will face serie B second tier club Legiao FC at the Estadio Serejao at 20:00 this Sunday.

Coached by Thomas Libih, the afcon winning squad have played a couple of games including an 8 nations invitational tournament in Instanbul, Turkey- UEFA Assist.

Cameroon will face Four time World Cup runners-up Spain, Argentina and Tajikistan in group E.

The U-17 World Cup runs from October 26th-November 17, 2019 in Brazil.
