Barcelona teenage sensation Ansu Fati has not been named in Spain’s World Cup team according to Actufoot as La Rojita gear up for their maiden World Cup title.

The four time runners-up ( 1991, 2003, 2007 and 2017 )) are in their 11th FIFA World Cup appearance and were banking on the skills of top-class players like Fati to lead them to a World Cup triumph.

The Guinea Bissua born was left out in the international window due to lack of clearance from FIFA.

Ansu 16, was granted Spanish citizenship in September and was hoping to feature for Spain at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
He was also tipped to feature in Spains senior national team.

Fati has scored two goals for Barcelona this season. He became the 10th youngest player feature in the UEFA Champions League as Barcelona held Borusia Dortmund to a goalless draw in Germany on match day one.

Born in Guinea Bissua, Ansu Fati left for Spain aged 6 and joined La Masia Academy in 2012.

He could return to play for Guinea Bissua or Portugal at senior levels as per FIFA’s status which permits switch of nationality.

The 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup will take place in Brazil between October 26th- November 17th, 2019.

Spain will face Argentina, Africa U-17 champions Cameroon and Tajikistan in group E.
