International Football Association FIFA is about to order clubs to extend players contracts and change transfer windows. The body is suggesting that players’ contest be extend till the end of the season. The suggestion has been provoked by the coronavirus.

The world’s football governing body also suggests that all associations should try to find solutions in handling the remaining season and fit in to the new dates.

“This work has already started and will be conducted in consultation with all key stakeholders, including confederations, member associations, clubs, leagues and players,”

“In case of overlapping seasons and/or registration periods, and unless all parties agree otherwise, priority be given to the former club to complete their season with their original squad, in order to safeguard the integrity of a domestic league championship”.

This comes as a result of the doubts in players contract which will be due by the end of this season.

Several competitions have either been suspended and/or postponed due to the increase number of deaths and wide spread of the virus. Italy, Germany and the USA continue recording new infected cases.
