German giants Bayern Munich (UEFA) have emerged champions at the just ended FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar. Bayern defeated CONCACAF’s UANL 1#0 at the Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan, Thursday February 11, 2021. lone goal scored by 24-year-old French right back Benjamin Pavard within 59 minutes.
This therefore gives Bayern Munich her second FIFA Club World Cup title. By winning the trophy, Bayern became only the second club in European football history (after Barcelona in 2009) to win all six titles (commonly known as a sextuple) on offer in a single calendar year.
CONCACAF’s UANL loosing 1#0 against Bayern Munich, automatically becomes runners up. Meanwhile CAF’s Egyptian giant Al Ahly occupies third place after beating SE Palmeiras 3#2 on penalty kicks.
