Gianni Infantino President of the world’s football ball FIFA has called on all to work together in the fight against the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
As a result of the devastating effects of the coronavirus, both President Gianni Infantino of FIFA and Dr Tedros Adhanom WHO Director-General have come together to promote the need for fair access to COVID-19 vaccines, and to encourage people to keep practicing life-saving, public health measures.
“Health is the number one priority for everyone all over the world and we feel at FIFA that it is vital important to work and that we act together to defeat COVID-19. FIFA is honoured to support global efforts to protect people from the coronavirus. Fairness and team spirit are key values of our sports. Football’s beauty a sports open to all people both boys and girls, women and men and all over the world. And these same values(fairness and team spirit) are needed for Friday’s great challenge overcoming COVID-19.” Gianni Infantino speaking
On behalf of FIFA, President Gianni Infantino sympathetized with the families of the bereaved and calls for respect of the norms of football (fairness and team spirit) to conquer the pandemic.
“First and famous on behalf of FIFA and on behalf of the global football community I will like to express my condolences for all the victims of the coronavirus across the world and I extend my deepest sympathy to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives and to all those who are suffering or who have suffered in the last year due to this terrible pandemic.”
This was agreed upon in a meeting Monday February 1, 2021.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a lot of devastating effects in the world of football. It has led to the suspending of competitions and some to an abrupt end. It has also caused fans to miss out the beauty of the game and players from exercising their talents and lott more.
