Nigeria women basketball side, D’Tigress are through to the quarter final of FIBA Women’s Afrobasket 2019 after taking Cameroon to the cleaners winning by 106-39 points.

Nigeria won all four (4) quarters by scorelines of 21-7, 28-16, 23-10 and 34-6 in the first, second, third and fourth quarters respectively.

D’Tigress top performer of the match is Promise Amukamara with +23 efficiency rate, 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Asides Promise, the trio of Adaora Elonu, Aisha Balarabe and Ify Ibekwe also finished the game with 14 points each while Ezinne Kalu gathered a total of 12 points.

Amina Njonkou emerged as Cameroon best performer in the game with +15 efficiency rate, 16 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.

Nigeria will wait for the conclusion of the first round to know their opponents while Cameroon will play one of the other second placed side in other groups to fight for a place in the quarter final.
