Nigeria’s male basketball team, D’Tigers moved from 23rd to 22nd position on the latest Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA) rankings which was released on Wednesday, www.kick442.com reports.

The ranking also meant that D’Tigers are the highest-ranked African side above Angola and Tunisia in second and third positions respectively.

December 2020 FIBA Rankings (Africa)

Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Cameroon, Morocco, Mali, and Central Africa Republic complete Africa’s top 10 basketball teams.

D’Tigers won all their three games against South Sudan, Rwanda, and Mali in the 2021 FIBA Afrobasket Qualifiers. The positive results are connected to the latest improvement in the ranking.
