Nigeria male Basketball side, D’Tigers lost her first game 82-77 to Russia at the ongoing FIBA Basktball World Cup in China.

Russia won 1st Quarter 18:13 before the second quarter ends in
22:22 draw. Nigeria was only able to win the 3rd Quarter 18:23 before Russia sealed the match winning 4th Quarter 24:19.

In a keenly contested first game of the FIBA World Cup,
Josh Okogie’s 18 points, Ike Iroegbu’s 12 points and Nnamdi Vincent’s 11 points were not enough to get that victory for Nigeria.
Nigeria shot 49% 2 point shot, 33% from behind the arc and 81% from the free throw line.

Nigeria go again on Monday, September 2, 2019 against Argentina.
