Nigeria national men’s basketball team (D’Tigers) after sealing their qualification for the next Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA) Afrobasket with victory over South Sudan on Wednesday continued their winning streak on Thursday with a 64-51 win over Rwanda.
Tokyo Olympics bound D’Tigers perfect record at the qualifiers remained intact despite the initial scare from Rwanda.
D’Tigers were made to earn their win, turning around an 8 points deficit after the first quarter to beat Rwanda by 13 points and maintain their winning streak which is now 5-0.
Rwanda took the first set 14-22.
Nigeria went on to take the next three sets with 16-9, 14-10, and 20-10 points respectively.
