Reports suggest that Turkish second tier outfit Yeni Malatyaspor have interest in signing 28-year-old Zamalek midfielder Ferjani Sassi.
Sassi, former Esperance of Tunis player, played a pivotal role in the recent successes of the White Knights helping the Cairo giants to claim four majour trophies in his time at the club since joining them from Al Nasr.
Turkish media have reported that Yeni Malatyaspor will launch a bid for the midfielder in the summer.
Sassi signed a three-year-deal with Zamalek in 2018. As at now, the player has one year to his contract that expires in 2021.
Since arriving at the club, Sassi has bagged 11 goals from 62 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The Tunisian international has won 55 caps for the Carthage Eagles scoring five goals for the North African nation.
With such a daring profile, it becomes difficult to see the former FC Metz man leave Zamalek for the side ranked 15th in the Turkish Super League.
The one-time CS Sfaxien man is no stranger to European football. A move to Yeni may present very few challenges for him.
